At the Ottawa Hospital (General Campus) after a long illness on 17 August 2012, in her 86th year. Born 22 Sept. 1926, Calgary, Alta. Daughter of Ralph Egerton Breckon and Sarah Donalda Carmichael. Crescent Heights H.S., Calgary (Valedictorian, Class of 1944). B.A. Univ. of Alberta (Mount Royal College and Edmonton campus, 1947). Employee of Calgary Public Library, 1947-49.

Long-time member of Beta Sigma Phi, Alpha Theta Master chapter, Ottawa (City Council officer, 1955-1958).

Donna canvassed for the Canadian Cancer Society and the Salvation Army. Devoted and loving wife of the late Thomas Ivan Coram (d. 2005). Loving mother of Ralph Robert Coram (Anita Lerek) of Toronto, Ont.; Janet Louise Coram of Cloverdale, B.C. (Mark McKnight), and Sally Donalda Coram (Norman McIntosh) of Vancouver, B.C. Beloved and adoring grandmother of Sarah Estelle Coram (Toronto) and Evan Thomas McKnight (Edmonton). Predeceased by several aunts, uncles and cousins in Calgary, Kemptville and Spencerville, Ont., and Massena, N.Y. Donna is remembered by her many friends of the family, Abbey Road neighbours, the Sorority community, attendees of the First Church of Christ Scientist (Ottawa) and University Alumni Council events during the 1950s and 1960s, and patrons of the Friday jazz club in the old Chez Lucien Hotel in the Market. Thanks to the staff of Central Park Lodge II, Carleton Lodge (Goulbourn Vill.), Saint-Vincent Hospital, especially Yusmila Ricardo Burke PSW and the late Anthony Burke RPN, and staff on O1W at Donna's last residence, the Perley Rideau Veterans Health Centre. Private cremation.
