Jean Roberta Tweedale (nee Climie)

Jean Tweedale TWEEDALE, Jean Roberta (nee Climie) It is with heavy hearts we have to announce the passing of our beloved mother, Jean. An angel went to heaven peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 under the loving care of Rosemarie at the age of 86. To all who had the honor to know Jean from her nursing classmates of 1946, her sorority sisters here in Ottawa and the congregation at St. Richard's Church, we the family want to thank you all for making Mom's life so full of love. Mom will be forever in the hearts of all her children; Ian (Sandy), Moira (Deric), Heather (Brian) Neil (Laurie) and Jamie, and grandchildren; Jessica and Sheena, already in heaven, Erin, Wilder, Chelsea, Riley, Brittany, Caleum, Lana and Micheal. Youngest daughter of Edna Brett and George Climie (deceased). Beloved sister to Margaret Climie (deceased). Jean is reunited with the love of her life, Geordie who sadly left us in 2008. Jean was born in Edmonton and grew up with her sister and best friend Margaret Climie. Married on June 21, 1952, she raised a family of 5 with love and kindness and caring for all who passed through her door. Jean's career started as a flight attendant, where she met Geordie, graduated nursing in Edmonton, class of 46 and finished her career in Ottawa at the Civic and the Queensway Carleton. We are all proud of the way Mom lived her life, volunteering her spare time to help the elderly and less fortunate. The Tweedale family would like to express our undying gratitude to our extended family and the angels who made it possible to keep Mom at home; Rosemarie, Marsha, Remy, Luz, Pet, Jean, Eileen, Lara, Jamaika and Zea and Ray, Dave and Kevin. She will be missed greatly by all of her family and friends, but she's in a better place now. Friends may pay respects at the Kelly Funeral Home, 2313 Carling Ave. (west of Carlingwood) Friday, February 11, from 5 to 8 p.m. A Service in Memory of Mrs. Tweedale will be held Saturday, February 12, at St. Richard's Anglican Church, 8 Withrow Avenue, at 11 a.m. In memoriam donations to The Wings of Phoenix Association appreciated.
