| DEVINE, Ellen "Babs" Peacefully at home, in her 88th year. Predeceased by her husband Eugene Devine and her brother Edward Kavanagh. Much loved and sadly missed by cousin Margaret Melia and her children Clare Browne, Margaret Henriksson and families, and Stephen Melia; her "extended family" Gayla and Gilles Desjardins, Stephanie and all the Gower family, Bob and Madeliene Hanway as well as loved ones overseas. Babs leaves behind many dear friends and neighbours including those from the Irish Society Seniors Drop in Centre, the Power Squadron and her sisters at Beta Sigma Phi. Special thanks to the PSW's and the palliative care nurses and doctors who showed such care, compassion and respect while looking after Babs in her home. Such a kind heart, adventuresome spirit and so full of life, Babs left an indelible mark on those who knew her. She will be greatly missed. A Funeral Service will be held at St. Theresa's Catholic Church, 95 Somerset St. W., Ottawa, February 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. Donations in memory of Babs may be made to The Cancer Society, The Salvation Army or your charity of choice.
